Out of all the indoor security cameras that I have tried over the years, this one has managed to stand out since it is able to provide high video quality, performance and smart functionalities all at the same time in an extremely small form factor.The best improvement, of course, must be the 2K video resolution, which produces much clearer video than the HD resolutions found in other security cameras. In terms of picture quality, this thing is top-notch as everything appears to be clear and detailed, allowing you to easily recognize people and objects in the vicinity. This comes in handy especially when you are viewing things from afar or using the zoom function. From monitoring pets to checking whether there is anything suspicious going on in a particular room, I know that the video quality will allow me to see things in detail.The other feature that caught my attention was the night vision performance. Many indoor security cameras have difficulties capturing details in darkened rooms, but Blink Mini 2K+ captures everything perfectly in low light. This means that you can use it throughout the whole day and night, which makes it a great option if you don't want to use extra lighting in your rooms.The two-way audio quality is much better now. The sound is clear and natural, and noise cancellation helps to concentrate on a conversation with no background interference. The motion detector will notify me in case of any movements. In case one is looking for something more sophisticated when it comes to security options, then he/she can use the Blink Subscription Plan to get such advanced options as people and vehicles recognition that can help decrease unwanted notifications.There are many things that I like about this camera, and one of them is versatility. It is ideal as an indoor surveillance camera, yet it can be used in other ways as well, depending on my needs. I can mount it on the desk, on the shelf, or even on the wall to have it there permanently. Due to its small size, I am free to place it wherever I need it.Alexa compatibility is another amazing feature to mention. Having the ability to control the camera through voice commands and interact with other devices and my smart home becomes very easy and comfortable. It fits perfectly with my smart home and makes life easier.The capability of storing videos is one of the best features as well. Having the opportunity to store recordings helps me to feel more comfortable and to control everything when I need it. It is very helpful to be able to view motion alerts and events that have occurred during my absence.The camera has good-quality construction, and it looks stylish and modern. The design fits well into interior of a house and does not seem clumsy. It is very compact but still provides full coverage.After testing the Blink Mini 2K+, I can honestly say that this is a huge step forward from earlier indoor cameras. “These are fantastic! They were very easy to set up with the app on my iPhone (I am not a tech person and was dreading this process!) it probably took me 20 minutes to set 3 cameras up (because I didn’t read the instructions and thought I could plug all three in at once) you have to do them individually.I bought them because my dad has dementia and I wanted to be able to keep an eye on him if I wasn’t around. They send alerts, record, 2 way talk, it even had a light I can turn on and off. video is very clear and for such a small camera I was impressed with how much space it covered!”

“This is an edited review after spending 2 months using the Blink camera and about a month with the sync module. If the online cloud-based video storage was permanently included I would give 5 stars and buy them as gifts for friends and fam but having to pay for a subscription service is the opposite of why I was interested in the cam in the first place. Adding the sync module after the 30 day trial ended at least allowed the camera to still function and record video (not just alert me there was motion at a certain time or "live" stream which is all the cam will do without a subscription or sync module).Pros: The camera video quality is surprisingly good. The microphone also captures audio well. Local storage is nice to have with the Sync module and the USB hard drive storage is convenient.Cons: Cloud storage is a trial and requires a subscription after a month. App is a little buggy sometimes when I attempt to disarm the system and also will freeze at the opening screen. App seems to prefer the cloud based storage and not local.”
