“The sound out of this mini amp is amazing! I love that I can connect it to my iPad and play along with Songsterr, Apple Music, or YouTube. The tone controls and compression work great and I can get a nice variety of sounds which fit whatever space I’m practicing. The head is durable, and because of the small size, the device travels very well. I’ve played in my apartment with headphones and taken it to my Nana’s house for some sing-along fun with the family. There is no buzzing or weird distortion coming from the speaker. I have not tried the OTG recording yet, but I love that it is an option. Also being able to power the amp with the DC or USBC is very useful. Overall, a very nice practice amp for the cost. Thank you, JOYO!”

After 25+ years of playing bass—owning countless guitars and amps, from full stacks to combos, and performing at tons of live shows—I wanted something small, portable, and easy to grab for practice anywhere in the house or to take to a friend’s place for a jam. This amp nails that purpose.Let’s be clear: it’s not a powerhouse. At 30 watts, it’s not designed for gigs or playing alongside a drummer. For that, you’ll want 100 watts or more, even if you’re running DI or mic’ing the amp. But for working out songs at low volume or jamming with an acoustic guitar or a small amp, the volume is more than enough.One feature I really appreciate is Bluetooth connectivity. Most amps still rely on aux cables, which means carrying extra adapters and cables that are easy to misplace. Bluetooth makes streaming tracks from my phone effortless, and that was a big selling point for me.Sound-wise, it delivers. I’ve run a Yamaha passive 5-string, a Fender P-Bass, and a short-scale EB-0 through it, and they all sounded great.
