The app allows me to tweak the audio levels before recording and it has 3 levels of noise cancellation while the cheap mic was just what it was, no settings at all. Plug it in and you got what you got. I was skeptical about the magnetic attachment but it's very strong and allows orienting the mic however you like rather than depending on where you can clip it. It connected right away and updated the firmware which wasn't a thing on the generic one.”
