“I put the Brome Squirrel Buster Plus Podium kit ($300) in the back yard of my new central Texas home and filled it with the Ultimate No Mess Wild Bird Food.I sprinkled some around the base of the feeder and doves, grackles, starlings, rabbits, squirrels and mockingbirds were eating off the ground and landing in the feeder's catch tray by sunset on day 1.A couple of days later, some sparrows realized they could eat from the feeder's perch and be relatively safe from the larger birds (due to a clear plastic shield above them).The smaller birds (sparrows, cardinals, and blue jays) knock some of the food down to the catch tray which soon filled with doves, mocking birds and robins eating what fell from above.Those birds then knock some of the smaller bits through drainage holes in the catch tray onto the ground below, where squirrels, rabbits, starlings and grackles eat what's left.My wife and I are new to 'feeding/watching wild birds each morning' and we are having a blast watching 'The Circle of Life' happening in our backyard.This no mess bird feed is definitely a hit with the birds (and other critters) in my Central Texas location.”

“I put this in my first-ever bird feeder and we hung it about 13 feet from our house. By the third day, every little yellow bird in our county was in my back yard! I quickly bought another bag, and within five days, both 20 lb bags had been devoured!We had such a gathering of different species all getting along well. They were so fun to watch, I just hope we can afford to support them in the new lifestyle they are getting accustomed to.They love this feed, and of course they make a horrible mess. Granted, the mess isn't shells and trash bits, it's food, and some of the larger birds eat it off the ground. I'm just hoping we don't attract rats & mice.‐‐-----------Update 8/20/24Lowering to four stars.All my tweeters tend to pick out what they like and in the process a lot of bits fall to the ground. I noticed an odd, new grass growing below the feeder and realized the corn in this mix was sprouting! I hadn't noticed it before, but now I see there is a LOT of corn in it. I think I'll try other formulas instead.”
