Overview
Greenies Pill Pockets are a revolutionary product designed to make the process of giving medication to dogs a hassle-free experience. If you’ve ever struggled with your furry friend refusing their pills, you know how stressful it can be for both you and your pet. These pill pockets are crafted to turn pill time into treat time, providing a tasty solution that dogs love. With a whopping 15.8 oz of delicious peanut butter flavor, these treats not only mask the taste of medications but also make the entire administration process enjoyable for your pet.
Key Features
One of the standout features of Greenies Pill Pockets is their convenience. Unlike traditional methods that involve messy peanut butter or cheese, these treats are specifically designed to hold the medication securely inside. Simply drop the pill into the pocket, pinch it closed, and offer it to your dog. The ease of use allows pet owners to administer medication quickly and efficiently without the usual mess.
The peanut butter flavor is irresistible to dogs, making it an excellent choice for even the pickiest eaters. The treats are also low-calorie, which is a significant advantage for pet owners who are mindful of their dog's diet. Notably, these treats are vet-recommended, ensuring that they are safe and beneficial for your pet's health.
Who Is It For
Greenies Pill Pockets are ideal for any dog owner who faces challenges when it comes to giving their dog medication. Whether you have a large breed or a small breed, these treats cater to all sizes and help encourage voluntary ingestion of pills. They are especially useful for dogs that are typically resistant to taking their medicine. If your dog is on a regular medication regimen or requires occasional pills, these treats can simplify your life and enhance your dog's medication experience.
Final Verdict
Overall, Greenies Pill Pockets are a game-changer in the realm of pet care. They transform a necessary but often stressful task into a pleasant bonding experience between you and your dog. With their delicious taste, low-calorie profile, and ease of use, they are a must-have for every pet owner looking to make medication time less daunting. Just keep in mind that while many users rave about their effectiveness, some have noted that the pockets can be a bit fragile and may crumble during use. However, the benefits far outweigh this minor issue, making these pill pockets a valuable addition to your dog care toolkit.

What buyers say
5.0 · 5 reviews“Good smell. Extremely pliable and soft. Bought to try to hide arthritis meds for my senior dogs. They both loved the taste but found & spit out the pills! So now we are back to our normal pill swallowing routine and giving these as tasty treats afterwards. They both love the peanut butter taste and neither had upset tummies afterwards. The zip top bag with flat bottom makes it easy to access and serve.”
“My dog is super picky when it come food and any kind of treats, I have to give my 15lbs Chihuahua mix medication and one of the pills is pretty large, I tried grinding them and it was more work for me to do all that and then try to pour it into the dog pocket until tried this brand in the peanut butter flavor!! Thank God,,, My dog loves the flavor so much that he doesnt even try to chew it it, and now I can give him his heart medication daily and his sinus, and flea pills with a fuss!!They seem pretty healthy, the quality is nice and mushy, my dog get a little of “The runs” but I am not sure if it from the medication or the treat, other than that he seems to digest the medication nicely..Great product! It kind of pricey but worth it.”
“My French bulldog has epilepsy and these have been a LIFESAVER. I’ve owned dogs my entire life and always just used some bread or cheese for the random one off pills when sick. When my frenchie started having seizures the bread and cheese just weren’t cutting it anymore. I noticed his pills would get stuck in his cheeks and not get completely digested. He is currently on 5 1/2 pills in the morning and 5 at night.I have to use two pill pockets both morning and night so I go through them extremely quick but they work wonders! Pills no longer disappear in the void of his cheeks and I am confident he gets them all as he swallows each pill pocket whole.I don’t feed my dogs chicken so I stay away from that and the hickory smoke flavor. I’ve purchased before and they aren’t bad but the gas is (hickory smoke is STRONG). He loves the peanut butter flavor and I will continue to purchase these as long as he has seizures!”
“Dogs LOVE these! My Dot is very healthy and, except for antibiotics for a tiny scratch on her cornea, Dot has never had any pills. Not only does she hate pills, she won't even eat her heartworm meds that come in a chewy treat every other dog or cat I have ever had ate quite willingly. However, her mate, Dash, has epilepsy and needs two pills per day-- every day-- for life. Dot feels like she is special, too, if she gets half a pill pocket when Dash gets his pill in half of a large pill pocket. In my 50 years of AKC kennel ownership I have tried EVERYTHING from cheese hot dogs, to scrambled eggs with cottage cheese, to Little Smokies sausages, to soft cheeses to liverwurst to get dogs to take their pills! These pill pockets are BY FAR the EASIEST and most mouldable pill hiding food/treat I have ever found, and they seem like an excellent value (and fewer kilocalories) when compared to soft cheeses or liverwurst! If the Pill Pockets are kept in an airtight container these pill pockets remain soft and perfect for a LONG TIME, maybe years. Not that I have ever had a bag of Pill Pockets last over a month! The only thing about Pill Pockets that is at all fragile is the zipper on the bag they come in. There is no guarantee on the bags, or the zippers on the inside of the bags.I buy the large pill pockets and cut them in half for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and use them whole for our allergic German Shepherd dog's THREE Benedryls per six-hour dose, (my dose is TWO.) This is my BEST veterinary find since the hybrid elizabethan collars that have blowup neck rings AND a hard, clear plastic anti-chew extension!”
“Our dog takes his meds in them and it makes it super easy. He loves all the flavors and the meds go down without issues!”
